SRT or VTT?

SRT is the most widely supported subtitle format and works in YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and VLC. VTT (WebVTT) is the standard for HTML5 video players on websites. Both are available for every transcript.

Why subtitles matter

Most social video is watched without sound. Subtitles keep those viewers watching, make your content accessible, and help people follow speakers with strong accents or in noisy places.

Editing subtitles

SRT files are plain text. Open one in any text editor to fix a spelling or a name, keeping the numbering and timecode lines unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

Are the subtitles timed automatically?

Yes. Each line has start and end times taken from the speech itself.

Can I burn subtitles into the video?

Not yet. For now, import the SRT into your video editor and export with captions enabled.

Can I generate subtitles in another language?

Subtitles are created in the language that is spoken in the video. Translation is planned as a future feature.
