Why convert video to text?
Text is searchable, skimmable and easy to reuse. A transcript lets you pull quotes for social posts, turn a talk into a blog article, add captions for viewers who watch on mute, and make your content accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Search engines also cannot watch your video, but they can read its transcript.
Formats you can download
Every transcript can be downloaded as plain text (TXT) grouped into paragraphs, text with timestamps, SRT and VTT subtitle files for YouTube, Vimeo, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and JSON if you are a developer who wants to process the segments yourself.
How accurate is it?
For clear speech, accuracy is typically above 95%. Results depend on audio quality: a lapel or USB microphone gives far better results than a phone across a noisy room. Choosing the spoken language instead of auto-detect also helps for short clips and mixed-language videos.
